About Mr Ravi Dissanayake

Mr Ravi Dissanayake | MBBS (Hons), FRACS, FAOrthA
Ravi Dissanayake is an Australian fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon, specialising in robotic-assisted hip and knee replacements, revision hip and knee replacement, sports knee injuries, and trauma surgery. He is committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care with a strong focus on patient outcomes.

Mr Dissanayake graduated with First Class Honours from Monash University in 2010, before completing orthopaedic training through the Australian Orthopaedic Association across leading hospitals in Victoria and Tasmania. He went on to complete a local fellowship in complex hip and knee revision surgery and trauma care.

Mr Dissanayake holds public appointments at Monash Health and Bass Coast Health, where he serves as Clinical Lead for Orthopaedic Trauma at Dandenong Hospital. He is also involved in training future orthopaedic surgeons through the Australian Orthopaedic Association and contributes to international surgical outreach in Vietnam.

Mr Dissanayake’s hospital appointments include Monash Health, Bass Coast Health, St John of God Berwick and Waverley Private Hospital.

Ravi is fluent in Sinhalese, and lives in Mount Waverley with his wife and two young children.
